Concert Band and Choir Formals
Welcome to 2022 - 2023 Rio Norte Music Department. At formal performances, students are expected to wear a concert formal. New formals for girls are available for $72.77, and new formals for boys are available for $57.33. We do have a limited amount of clean, used dresses available for purchase as well.
Concert Band and Concert Choir Formals - Alterations
All new tux pants and a number of our dresses will need to hemmed. We ask that dresses not drag on the floor. The best length for both the tux pants and dress would be for the pants or dress to hit the top of the instep.
If you would like to have formals hemmed professionally, we work with Bridge Cleaners, located in the LA Fitness Shopping Center at the corner of Newhall Ranch Road and Rye Canyon.

Dresses:
The formals include a claret (red) dress and garment bag. Please print out the formal order form located below. For members to look their best, please finish having your student's formal altered if necessary. Dresses should not drag on the floor, the best length would be for the dress to just hit the top of their instep. All members will need to supply their own black closed-toe shoes. Please no sandals, sling back, boots, converse, athletic shoes or heels taller than two inches. No necklaces or large, flashy earrings may be worn.
Tuxedos:
The tuxedo ensemble includes adjustable tuxedo pants, a white pleated shirt, a claret cummerbund and bow tie, and garment bag. Please remember to wear the bow tie and cummerbund. All members will need to supply their own white undershirt, black dress socks and black dress shoes. Please no crazy colored socks, tennis or athletic shoes. Please fill out the formal order form located below. For members to look their best, please finish having your student's formal altered in necessary (i.e. pants hemmed). The pants should just hit the top of the shoe.
