Music in the Parks Festival
April 22 - 23, 2022
I would like to welcome all the new families to our program and let you in on our biggest event of the year: The Music in the Parks Festival.
Each year, the program travels to a national music festival with Music in the Parks. This year it will be held on April 22 - 23.
Students will leave on Friday, April 22nd and travel to the Anaheim area to perform and then continue on to dinner , and our night lodging at an area hotel. On Saturday, students will spend the day at the park and then attend an awards ceremony in the park in the early evening. Students will then return home late Saturday night after the event.
The total cost for the trip has not been finalized yet. However, it includes all meals, transportation, festival fee, hotel cost, t-shirt, and park entrance.
This is not a mandatory event so if you do not wish for your child to attend, it will not affect their grade in the program.
Each student will have the opportunity to fundraise for the event. Donations will also be accepted.
Parents, if you wish to join us as a chaperone, please see details below.
If you have any questions regarding the Festival trip, please don't hesitate to email Mr. Gilbert: jcgilbert@hartdistrict.org
This is an exciting event in which our students have continuously achieved high honors.
Chaperone Information for Parents:
Hart School District chaperones need to go through a clearance process including fingerprinting, medical, and online training including sexual harassment, mandated reporters, and workplace bullying. To start the paperwork to be a chaperone, contact KFortenberry@hartdistrict.org Please read through all of the information carefully. Once the paperwork is complete, please turn it in to the ASB Secretary at the ASB Office. Please be aware that this process takes a few weeks so it's best to get it started as soon as possible. If you have chaperoned within the Hart School District before and have already gone through the clearance process, you should be good.
Please email Mr. G at jcgilbert@hartdistrict.org if you have any questions.
